How to Contact Us
Information We Collect
When you interact with us through the Site or Services, we may collect Personal Data and other information from you, as further described below.
Non-Identifiable or Aggregated Data: When you interact with BlueJeans through the Site or Services, we receive and store certain information that is collected passively using various technologies, but cannot presently be used to specifically identify you. BlueJeans may store such information itself or such information may be included in databases owned and maintained by BlueJeans affiliates, agents or service providers. This Site may use such information and pool it with other information to track, for example, the total number of visitors to our Site, the number of visitors to each page of our Site, the domain names of our visitors’ Internet service providers, general geographic location, and how our users use and interact with the Services. Also, in an ongoing effort to better understand and serve the users of the Services, BlueJeans often conducts research on its customer demographics, interests and behavior based on the Personal Data and other information provided to us or collected as stated herein. This research may be compiled and analyzed on an aggregate basis. BlueJeans may share this non-identifiable and aggregate data with its affiliates, agents and business partners, but this type of non-identifiable and aggregate information does not identify you personally. BlueJeans may also disclose aggregated user statistics in order to describe our services to current and prospective business partners, and to other third parties for other lawful purposes.
Do Not Track: We currently do not participate in any “Do Not Track” frameworks that would allow us to respond to signals or other mechanisms from you regarding the collection of your Personal Data.
Our Use of Your Personal Data and Other Information
BlueJeans and its Related Companies may use this information to contact you in the future to tell you about services we believe will be of interest to you. If we do so, each communication we send you will contain instructions permitting you to “opt-out” of receiving future communications. In addition, if at any time you wish not to receive any future communications or you wish to have your name deleted from our mailing lists, please contact us as indicated above.
Our Disclosure of Your Personal Data and Other Information
BlueJeans is not in the business of selling your information. We consider this information to be a vital part of our relationship with you. There are, however, certain circumstances in which we may share your Personal Data with certain third parties without further notice to you, as set forth below.
Business Transfers: As we develop our business, we might sell or buy businesses or assets. In the event of a corporate sale, merger, reorganization, dissolution or similar event, Personal Data and other information may be part of the transferred assets.
Agents, Consultants and Service Providers: Like many businesses, we sometimes hire other companies to perform certain business-related functions. We may share Personal Data with unaffiliated third parties only as necessary to complete a transaction or perform a service that you have requested, or to support the technical operation and maintenance of our Services and of our Site. Examples of such functions include analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, providing customer service, processing orders, and facilitating payments. When we employ another company to perform a function of this nature, we only provide them with the information that they need to perform their specific function. When such other companies act solely on our behalf, BlueJeans requires them to follow our privacy practices. BlueJeans does not sell its customer lists or any personally identifiable information associated with its customers to third parties.
Legal Requirements: BlueJeans may disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:
- comply with a legal obligation,
- protect and defend our rights or property,
- act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Site, the Services, or the public or
- protect against legal liability.
The Services are provided to you from the U.S. where we are based. Therefore in delivering the Services you require, your Personal Data may be exported to and processed in the U.S. We are committed to protecting your privacy and we have appropriate security measures in place to take steps to keep the information which you give to us (including your Personal Data) secure.
When you use the Services, your data will be transferred to us either because you have subscribed to our Services or because it is in your interests to use the Services, including, without limitation, in order to interact with a paying customer of ours. As recognized by various European local law, where the transfer of Personal Data is necessary for the performance of a contract (i.e. where you are a BlueJeans customer, have signed up for a free trial, or where you want to interact with a BlueJeans customer using our Services), the restriction is considered not to apply and as therefore no specific data transfer instrument is needed. At all times, we are committed to maintaining the security of our systems in processing Personal Data we receive.
In accordance with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework (a) BlueJeans is subject to the investigatory and enforcement powers of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), (b) you may, under certain conditions, invoke binding arbitration and (c) BlueJeans shall remain liable under the Privacy Shield Principles if any of our agents process your Personal Data in a manner inconsistent with the Privacy Shield Principles, unless we prove that we are not responsible for the event giving rise to the damage.
You can use the Site without providing any Personal Data. If you choose not to provide any Personal Data, you may not be able to use certain Services.
Personal Data: We will use all reasonable endeavors to accommodate requests to delete Personal Data unless it is required to be retained by law or for lawful business purposes.
Recordings: Your videoconference may be recorded and saved as determined by the host. These recordings are stored by BlueJeans to enable retrieval. The retention of such recordings is configurable by the host.
Accuracy and Access to Information
To keep your Personal Data accurate, current, and complete, please contact us as specified above. We will take reasonable endeavors upon request to update or correct Personal Data in our possession that you have previously submitted via this Site or Services.
BlueJeans takes appropriate physical, technical, and organizational measures to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, and destruction. We utilize a combination of industry-standard security technologies, procedures, and organizational measures to help protect your Personal Data from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. However, no Internet, e-mail or other electronic transmission is ever fully secure or error free, so you should take special care in deciding what information you send to us in this way.
