Today we’re excited to announce the ability to do bi-directional HD desktop sharing from Microsoft Lync to room systems like Cisco and Polycom to Skype, Google Video Chat, iOS devices and any web browser.

Back in 2012 we introduced Lync support to our growing Lync user base. This support included the ability for non-Lync users outside the organization to participate in multi-party video collaboration via Cisco or Polycom room systems, Cisco Jabber, Google Video Chat and even by any browser.

Now we’re taking that interoperability one step further and enabling bi-directional HD desktop sharing from Microsoft Lync or Office 365. Now, without leaving the familiar Lync environment, federating with multiple solutions, or purchasing or maintain on-premise hardware, users can easily share HD content with external partners and clients on differing platforms.

We’re thrilled to be the first and only vendor to extend this capability to Lync and non-Lync users alike, without extra hardware or software to manage and maintain.

In today’s world, it can be difficult to align disparate (and sometimes quarrelsome) solutions in an organization. But by leveraging Blue Jeans’ interoperable solution, we can put those fisticuffs away. Like all things Blue Jeans, it’s seamless, user-friendly, and goes nicely with just about anything.
