BlueJeans Tip: Using the Mobile App
Using a room system configured for BlueJeans or the BlueJeans desktop app is great when you need to join a video meeting in the office, but sometimes meetings need to happen from somewhere else. With the BlueJeans mobile app, meetings can occur from the car, the train station, the beach, or even the doctor's waiting room. Using it allows you to meet from wherever you may be!
You can download the app for free from either the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. This short video shows how simple it is! Once downloaded, consider these simple tips for getting the most out of your mobile meetings.
Low Bandwidth Mode
If you want to conserve data, you can disable video feeds with one simple swipe up!
Doing so will give you a similar experience as dialing in via the phone, but the audio quality will be better for both you and the person on the other end of the line. Everyone else in the meeting will also see your name instead of your phone number, which is especially useful when meeting with clients or others who may not recognize your number. Plus, while you won't see video feeds of others in the meeting, you'll be able to see any content that is shared in the meeting.
Share Content
Once you are in the meeting, you can share documents or photos from your Apple device or your entire screen from your Android device. Click on the gear icon in the top left corner, and scroll to your "Sharing" options.
When sharing "Documents" or "Photos" on iOS, note that is not the same as sharing your screen, and you will not be able to access the feature in the same manner as on the desktop application.
Move Self-View
If you need to move your self-view to a better location in order to see other attendees or the screen, just hold down the image and move it where you'd like.
