How to Get Started with BlueJeans

BlueJeans has always brought together video, audio, and web conferencing with the collaboration tools people use every day. But now, we've completely redesigned our desktop application to deliver a simpler, faster, and even more productive meeting experience.

To get started, head to our Downloads page and follow the prompts. Once the application opens, you can log-in with your BlueJeans account, set your audio preference, and sync your calendar. Once your settings have been saved, you can join a BlueJeans meeting from the dashboard by joining via your Personal Meeting ID, joining from a pre-scheduled meeting on your calendar, or by typing in a meeting ID. In all cases, you have the option to join with Screen Share Mode Only if you do not need your camera or microphone enabled, like when you're already connected via a conference room.

All of your meeting controls are located at the top of your screen and hide away when you're not using them. Click on the correct button to share your entire screen (or a specific application), record your meeting, and view who else is in the meeting with you. To end your meeting, simply click the red "End Call" button.

And that's it—you're ready to start scheduling and hosting BlueJeans meetings!

Narrator [0:01-1:40] BlueJeans brings together video, audio, and web conferencing with the collaboration tools people use every day. To get started, head over to bluejeans.com/downloads, click download, open the installer, and follow the prompt. Once the app opens, you can set your audio preferences. Login with your BlueJeans account and sync your Google or Outlook Calendar to see your scheduled BlueJeans meetings right in the app. Click the calendar you use and follow the prompts. There are three ways to join a BlueJeans meeting from the dashboard. You can join a meeting using your personal meeting ID (this is unique to you and can be customized in your account), or click join on a prescheduled meeting from your calendar view, or by typing in a meeting ID. In all cases, you have the option to join with screenshare only if you don’t need your camera or mic enabled, like when you’re already connected from a conference room, or dial in with phone audio. You can double check your devices to make sure you’ve selected the right camera, microphone, and speaker options. For now, let’s join our personal meeting room. All your meeting controls are at the top of your screen and hide away when you aren’t using them. You can share your entire screen or a specific application. Record your meeting and view who else is in the meeting with you. To end your meeting, just click the red end call button, and that’s it! You’re ready to start scheduling and hosting BlueJeans meetings.
