BlueJeans Appoints Silicon Valley Veteran Robert Park to CFO as Company, Industry Enter Next Phase of Growth
Park Joins Executive Bench to Further Video Communications Reach Across the Enterprise; BlueJeans Usage Growth Increases by 120% YoY as the Global 'Video Culture' Emerges
June 27, 2016 — Mountain View, CA—BlueJeans Network, the global leader in cloudbased video communication services, today announced a strategic executive hire of Silicon Valley veteran Robert Park as the company's first Chief Financial Officer. As a seasoned executive with extensive experience overseeing finance for high-growth companies, Robert will ensure that BlueJeans continues towards profitable growth and successfully achieves long term objectives. Robert joins the team as the company reaches a record milestone of over 1.4 Billion video minutes used on its platform and has seen 120% rise in usage, year over year.
Enterprise video communications is at the beginning of a massive revolution and BlueJeans is leading the charge with over 3,500 paid business customers worldwide, enabling millions of users to experience the future of video in the workforce. BlueJeans now serves over 100,000 monthly active users and saw a record 120 million total minutes on its platform in May 2016 alone -- a 13 percent increase in activity from the previous month.
"BlueJeans is investing in an impressive bench of executive talent with Mike Mansbach joining as President in December, Lori Wright as CMO in April and now with Robert joining as CFO. We're truly setting ourselves up for long-term success," said Krish Ramakrishnan, CEO of BlueJeans. "The video communications revolution is real and we're excited to have Robert on board as we continue to take over the enterprise."
Spending over 20 years in the finance and business space, Robert brings a unique set of desired skillsets to BlueJeans as the company enters its next phase of growth. He has experience scaling high growth technology companies such as PayPal, Chegg and Practice Fusion, as well as Fortune 100 companies such as McKesson. Serving on multiple executive and finance teams across both B2B and B2C corporations, Robert has experience in managing IPOs and many strategic M&A deals.
"BlueJeans is connecting people around the world, giving them more than just a voice by bringing the communication experience to life with video. This company is truly changing the way video can be used in the enterprise, and collaboration is just one of many use cases," said Robert Park, Chief Financial Officer at BlueJeans. "The opportunity has never been greater as the transition from voice to video accelerates, and what is novel today will be standard tomorrow. I am very excited to be part of that journey."
