BlueJeans Announces New Partnership with Citrix to Release BlueJeans Meetings for Citrix Workspace Standard and VDI

MOUNTAIN VIEW and ATLANTA—May 21, 2019 – (Citrix Synergy)—Blue Jeans Network, Inc. today announced a new partnership with Citrix to release the Citrix Ready-validated solution, BlueJeans Meetings for Citrix Workspace Standard users.

Validated with Citrix Workspace app and Citrix Access Control, BlueJeans Meetings for Citrix Workspace Standard users enables organizations unleashing team productivity with BlueJeans’ cloud-based video meetings service to take advantage of the SSO, Cloud App Control of Citrix’s browser-based offering, as well as Citrix Analytics for access control.

Additionally, BlueJeans is announcing BlueJeans Meetings for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). Collaboration apps have historically struggled on VDI and often sacrifice voice and video quality. Working with Citrix, BlueJeans architected a VDI-specific client that enables optimized voice and video media for a compelling, high-fidelity user experience. BlueJeans has been testing the solution with some of the world’s most demanding financial services and contact center environments and are excited about the positive customer feedback.

Cloud App Control is a set of security policies within Citrix Access Control that helps IT control what a user can or cannot do following a successful login to these SaaS applications. Unlike traditional Single-Sign On (SSO) solutions, Citrix Access Control not only provides SSO to all applications, but it also provides controls to help prevent unauthorized disclosure of information stored in SaaS applications. For an end user, once these policies are enforced, they can access BlueJeans SaaS offering using embedded browser within the Citrix Workspace App.
