In their March 2016 edition of Businesses @ Work, San Francisco-based Okta Inc. calls out BlueJeans Network as one of the fastest-growing cloud apps in their network. The report seeks to understand how work gets done today, with a special focus on what’s happening in the cloud. With a customer growth rate of 38 percent in the second half of 2015, BlueJeans came in eighth in a list of the fastest-growing cloud apps.
Founded in 2009 by two former Salesforce.com employees, Okta set out to help organizations understand and set limits on the software they and their workers were using. The platform essentially ties myriad software applications together with a single, secure login for employees, contractors, partners, and customers, making it possible connect via any device to the technologies needed to get work done.
As such, Okta has a unique vantage point into the cloud and mobile apps and services that organizations are choosing to help employees, customers, and partners be productive. Businesses at Work shares findings from Okta’s network of 4,000 applications, thousands of custom integrations, and millions of daily authentications and verifications around the world.
Okta’s dataset confirms that video communications continue to be an industry trend to watch for those making (or considering) significant investments in cloud and mobile.
