Here at Blue Jeans, it’s especially important to us that you have a high-quality, full-featured meeting experience no matter what device you’re joining from, which is why we’re pleased to announce two enhancements to our iOS app.

First is document sharing – you can now share PDFs, PowerPoint presentations, Word documents and other files straight from your phone. The process is easy – find the file that you want to share in any app on your phone, like your email or a cloud storage provider, and use the “Open in” feature of iOS to send it to the Blue Jeans app. Next time you’re in a Blue Jeans meeting, just press the share button, and you’ll see the file there. Once you select it, it will open up in your screen and appear for all other participants. You can also use the share button to open a browser window and share your screen with other participants as you browse the web.

The second feature we’ve added is dual-stream video. You shouldn’t have to choose between watching the presentation someone is sharing with you and seeing the presenter’s face, and now you don’t have to. With this update, our iOS app receives shared content and video in two separate streams, so you can see one stream using the full screen and the other in a small window in the corner.

As workers today become increasingly mobile, we recognize the importance of smartphones in communication and collaboration, which is why we’ll continue to enhance the mobile Blue Jeans experience. If you haven’t tried it yet, download our iOS app and let us know what you think.
