Another week, another amazing Microsoft Ignite | The Tour event. This week (2/26-2/27), the BlueJeans Microsoft crew hit the unseasonably warm streets of London for two fun-filled days of peer-to-peer networking, Microsoft and partner presentations and lots of expo hall activity!
Not only was the weather hot, so was the foot traffic at BlueJeans Booth—where we featured demos of our BlueJeans Gateway for Microsoft Teams solution. This cloud-native, video interoperable solution provides a seamless way for companies to accelerate Teams’ adoption by delivering a consistent experience for Teams’ users regardless of their location.
With over 100 deep-dive sessions and workshops and more than 350 experts in attendance, the sold-out Microsoft Ignite | The Tour London was the place to be this week.
One of the more popular learning tracks at this week’s conference was around “optimizing teamwork in your organization” featuring Microsoft Teams. By safeguarding meeting connectivity and maximizing existing conference room system investments, the BlueJeans Gateway for Microsoft Teams increases meeting productivity and team collaboration.
As part of the “TMK10 - What's new in Microsoft Teams - the hub for teamwork” learning track and kickoff presentation, BlueJeans got a nice littler shout-out as a cloud video interop partner The session looked at how Teams has evolved and the new capabilities for both end users and IT teams that have recently been added.
Teamwork is how work gets done today. In fact, 80 percent of an employee’s time is spent collaborating. And with five generations working together in today’s workforce (five!!), it’s more important than ever to have flexible solutions that allow people across locations and devices, and with different working styles, to collaborate effectively. BlueJeans and Microsoft Teams, the hub for teamwork in Office 365, together can meet every team's unique needs by bringing together people, conversations, meetings, calls, files and tools in one place—despite room system configurations—turning all rooms into Teams collaboration rooms.
And now, a quick update on our BlueJeans Gateway for Microsoft Teams solution:
- In October, we announced the General Availability (GA) in North America.
- In December, we expanded our GA reach to Europe. At this time, we also made several product updates.
- A few weeks ago, we added HDMI sharing from a VTC system, which allows users to be able to share content via an HDMI cable into the Teams meeting. Why is this important? Microsoft Teams allows users to wirelessly share content into a Team Meeting, but some customers require HDMI content share over HDMI from a VTC system—Wala!
- Finally, this week, we spread our Gateway love to customers worldwide by expanding our GA into the APAC region!
Thank you, once again, Microsoft and all of the Ignite attendees for an awesome London event – Next up for Team Blue on the Ignite Tour front Amsterdam (3/20-3/21), before we close things out in Stockholm (4/24-4/25).
Stay tuned for more on our journey with the Microsoft Ignite | The Tour, as well as updates on our Gateway solution as we continue to light up this new product line!
In the meantime, what are you seeing as some of your organization’s biggest Microsoft and/or industry needs?
