Enterprise Connect 2018, Day 1: Team Collaboration is Key

BlueJeans is excited to be at Enterprise Connect 2018, and as the week progresses, we intend to share a few resources with you to help you on your #EC18 education journey. The first day of the conference today was all about team collaboration. What role does it play in your organization and what are you doing to plan for it?

In the General Session this morning, we heard from Oji Udezue (Atlassian), Jonathan Rosenberg (Cisco), Lori Wright (Microsoft), Kira Makagon (RingCentral), Ilan Frank (Slack), and Jan Hickisch (Unify). Moderated by Beth Schultz, Editor at No Jitter, and Jim Burton, CEO of CT Link, the panelists discussed how team collaboration has reached center stage in the past twelve months. Knowing that the typical large enterprise has 1,000+ applications available to employees, how do you decide which to use? When there are multiple investments in video conferencing, audio collaboration, meeting platforms, and chat applications spread throughout the company, how do teams collaborate effectively?

The panelists discussed the importance of user adoption, stating that the focus must be on one unified experience to provide efficiency for IT and simplicity for the end user. Since user adoption is a large challenge for most companies, finding a solution that offers interoperability and easy management for IT teams, as well as ease of use for end users is a challenge that must be addressed. Furthermore, a solution that integrates with the tools people use every day will ensure that users have an excellent meeting experience, ultimately leading to a positive collaboration environment that drives a competitive edge for the company.

As we look at these requirements for a successful communications tool, it is important to note how BlueJeans can continue to drive efficiency for the modern workforce:

  • BlueJeans Meetings with Dolby Voice provides HD video plus crystal clear audio with spatial audio and noise reduction, ensuring that users have a productive meeting, every meeting.
  • Microsoft customers can experience remarkably simple meetings, as BlueJeans Gateway for Microsoft Teams provides one-touch meeting and native calendaring on any room system-including those outfitted with hardware by Polycom, Cisco, LifeSize, and more.
  • The BlueJeans integration with Workplace by Facebook and Facebook Live offers a self-service, professional-grade broadcasting platform to individuals, brands, and companies.

See each of these integrations, plus others, in Booth #1827 in the Product Expo. BlueJeans experts will be available on Tuesday during expo hours and during the Booth Crawl to answer any questions you may have about how BlueJeans can help your company experience meetings designed for the modern workplace.
