Driving change is what Michael Best does best—both through its legal practices and through its internal ones. The U.S. national law firm with more than 250 attorneys and 13 offices was recently named a Top 100 Law Firm for Women by Women Inc. Magazine for its stewardship in “creating a dynamic culture focused on women mentoring, flexible schedules, and women-focused professional development.”
With a keen understanding of the value of long-term relationships, the firm’s “Outside in. Inside Out.” approach to business enables its practitioners to deliver exceptional client experiences that extends beyond legal matters.
Behind the scenes, Michael Best's Director of IT, Jason Milligan, was in charge of taking this same approach to transforming the firm's dogital business operations when tasked with looking for a replacement video conferencing service. With the goal of simplifying and modernizing 25 meeting rooms—most of which were wired for LifeSize video conferences and GotToMeeting for desktop access—across a single platform, Milligan looked to BlueJeans.
One-touch join made easy
BlueJeans Rooms with Dolby Voice instantly turned the Firm’s existing conference rooms into premier converged video conference rooms where attendees experience a 4K Ultra HD Dolby Voice Camera that adjusts to the conditions of the room, as well as unmatched audio quality in the Dolby Conference Phone. Integration with calendars, room scheduling, and one-touch join capabilities eliminated the pain points that previously impacted the user experience.
All dots are connected
“BlueJeans connected all the dots, from scheduling at a user’s desk, to entering the room and instantly joining the call,” said Milligan. By refreshing most of the in-room devices with BlueJeans hardware, there’s now a 1:1 relationship between device and meeting space. A single BlueJeans meeting link is sent to either internal or external users, the room appears in the calendar along with the room reservation system, and ultimately logistical nightmares are averted.
Given the flexible work environment that the Michael Best values, BlueJeans Meetings are accessible via smartphones or tablets and provide the same level of engagement for intra-meeting collaboration, screen sharing or recording as joining in-person. Each meeting offers a human connection. And, those connections are collected and monitored via Command Center, a centralized analytics dashboard used to troubleshoot and ensure optimal meeting outcomes.
