We’ve reached an inflection point in the video communications market. Some of the most dominant companies in tech—the ones that drive industry movements, including Facebook and LinkedIn—have brought BlueJeans' meetings solutions in-house to create closer collaboration and connections. They are using video in all kinds of innovative ways, and interest in the market is following.
BlueJeans is ready with some bold future plans and product updates to match—some of which will be on display at Enterprise Connect this week in Orlando, Florida.
Kicking things off, we’ve partnered with Dolby Laboratories to bring the awesome sound quality of Dolby Voice to BlueJeans Meetings and BlueJeans Rooms group meeting solutions. We’ve also added a number of other hardware partners to our ecosystem including Dell, Jabra, and Logitech so that companies can make the most of the equipment they already have as they migrate to an improved meeting experience with BlueJeans. Along these lines, we’re in the process of integrating with Internet of Things device company Kaptivo so that customers can turn any analog whiteboard into a smart whiteboard. With this integration, live whiteboard sessions can be captured and shared with BlueJeans meeting participants.
We’re also rolling out features that customers have been requesting, such as remote desktop control, SIP trunking, expanded Web Real Time Communication (RTC) browser support, and registration for BlueJeans Events. These are the features that enable companies to finally get rid of WebEx once and for all and insert BlueJeans' comprehensive meetings platform as a total replacement.
But success isn’t defined by where we are today. It is what we’re building for tomorrow that we believe will continue to push organizations forward. BlueJeans is perpetually working to transform traditionally dreaded meetings into the most useful and engaging part of our customers’ day, and we are actively developing new technology to simplify everything from meeting preparation to connection, through collaboration and follow-up on both the large and small scale. We sweat the details so that we can deliver experiences that are meaningful to participants, and we are excited to work with our customers and partners to take the next step forward.
To that end, we would like to give a shout out to our rapidly growing customer base for another stellar year. Usage has doubled year over year as billions of minutes were spent on our platform in 2016. BlueJeans now connects users in more than 150 countries, across six continents—perhaps we’ll break into Antarctica soon—and uses of our technology continue to inspire.
