Welcome back to another amazing edition of the Blue Crew Spotlight. This month we got to know Ralph Kaiser, Channel Account Manager, volunteer and mountain biking father of two. Checkout some great words of advice from this long time VTeamer turned Blue Crew.
What’s your name and job:
Ralph Kaiser - Channel Account Manager
How long have you been with BlueJeans?
I have been with BlueJeans for a year now, a great step in my 18 year journey with Verizon.
How have your unique experiences and insights made you successful in your career?
With the speed of technology development I have learned a lot but the most valuable experiences have come from the people I have had the privilege of working with. Interactions with customers and employees around the world have prioritized the skills to listen and stay curious. Everyone has a story that we can learn from.
What do you enjoy about working at BlueJeans by Verizon?
I appreciate the quality of the people and the unifying belief that we will paint the world blue.
Who/what are some of your biggest inspirations within the company?
My biggest inspiration is to grow our channel partner ecosystem into the lead-gen, revenue generating machine it has the potential to be.
Which benefits are your favorite and why?
As a dad of two mountain biking sons our medical benefits are my favorite. Ambulance rides from trail heads aren’t cheap.
What’s the most unique part about working here?
Accessibility to leadership.
What's something most people don't know about you?
Twice a month I volunteer at a retirement home as Tech Support. I work with folks on smartphone troubleshooting, home networking, fixing connectivity issues, and of course helping download puzzle games and password management. I love it.
If you could go back in time and tell the 16 year old version of you something what would it be?
There are no shortcuts. Do the work and take pride in quality. Oh…and buy Apple stock at $22.
How do you handle difficult or challenging days?
“Difficult” changes with perspective. There are many people in our community struggling with more than I can imagine.
Any words of advice or a favorite quote you would like to share with us?
“You already know what the right thing to do is. You just gotta do it.” – Jocko Willink
