Todd L. Austin is Videoconferencing Lead in the Technology Services group at the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts at the University of Michigan. He also serves as Co-Coordinator of the Virtual Exchange Initiative at the University. With over a decade of experience in videoconferencing, he has worked to drive the expansion of its use across the University to virtualize relationships and experiences across the full range of disciplines and work of the University. Prior to that, Todd spent a decade in IT support at the University, playing a leading role in the establishment of formal support for Mac OS X at the University. His educational background includes graduate study in Russian Politics, a BA Magna cum Laude in Political Science from the University of Rochester, and a degree in cello performance from the Eastman School of Music’s Preparatory Department.
