Video conferencing is taking place everywhere: from desktops at work, from conference rooms, from mobile devices, from universities, from home offices, and from coffee shops when we work remotely. As technology evolves and more business users embrace the value of online face-to-face interactions...
As we look forward and plan for Q1 and the year ahead, we decided to revisit the State of the Modern Meeting to look at collaboration trends and how video technology is reshaping how we meet. What did we find out? Not surprisingly, the vast majority of people feel that face-to-face communications improves relationships, so much so that nearly three quarters of people believe they lost a deal due to the lack of face-to-face interaction.
Let’s face it- traditional video conferencing can be expensive. And for a small to medium size business, it can be difficult to adopt and maintain video just for that reason. We found out from the State of the Modern Meeting that 56% of video conference calls happen over a traditional room system. But how many of those systems do you thnk cost under $1k? So today, we’re excited to partner up with Tely Labs to give users an exclusive offer.
While most meetings average 3 – 5 participants, occasionally we have the need to have meetings of up to 25 different participants. Large video meetings can be very productive and valuable, however if not managed properly it is easy for them to get out of hand and become disruptive, especially from an audio perspective. Here are some tips to ensure you have a successful large meeting.
We all know the power of face-to-face communication in meetings. With over 90% of communication being nonverbal, you have the advantage of reacting and adjusting to nonverbal cues, people stay engaged and you have the unique opportunity to make a personal connection and lasting impression. Now imagine that power magnified inside of Salesforce.

In 2007 Apple delivered a revolutionary device to the world. Many users adopted the new device by the millions within a few weeks. When the "iPhone OS" 2.0 was introduced (the name of the iOS art the time), we saw a huge adoption for corporate users since they added in some abilities for enterprise email, calendaring, among other features.
At Blue Jeans, we embrace the mobile lifestyle and the idea that a person does not need a traditional laptop to accomplish #AWESOME work. Many of our customers have been embracing mobile work styles and have been waiting for the mobile team to expand our current client set.
To build on the momentum of our Intercall integration, we recently conducted a national survey. The survey revealed that 94% of respondents believe that face-to-face communication improves business relationships. While this statistic doesn’t surprise me as much, it’s interesting that 91% percent have never seen many of the people they work with on a daily or weekly basis.
