BlueJeans had a busy, productive, and ambitious 2016! We continued to push the boundaries of video communication and collaboration while introducing innovative, new products, and adding to our leadership team. As we open 2017, we’re taking a final look back at some top milestones from last year.
Hundreds of football fans across the nation tuned into our live BlueJeans Events video broadcast ahead of Super Bowl 50 where they got to ask their burning questions face-to-face with the Saints’ All-Pro QB.
How much do people really love using live video? We put that question to the test by conducting research to uncover video’s central role in the changing workplace and what it means for the next generation of employees.
Bringing proven leadership to our global marketing efforts, Lori Wright, a former executive at TIBCO and Symantec, joined BlueJeans to drive awareness to the benefits of live video across the workforce.
We unveiled the Enterprise Video Cloud. A comprehensive platform built for today’s globally distributed modern workforce, the EVC delivers HD video communications throughout your business.
We landed our first CFO. With over 20 years in finance and business, Robert Park joined us to lead the charge as we continue to grow and achieve our long-term business objectives.
We made the list! BlueJeans was ranked in the first-ever Forbes 2016 Cloud 100 list profiling privately-held companies from around the globe who are recognized as leaders in the Cloud technology revolution.
We added two more industry-leading executives! Frank Vella was appointed as our first Chief Revenue Officer and Mark Strassman as our Chief Product Officer. They bring loads of experience, passion, and a commitment to putting the customer first.
By welcoming onSocial to our product portfolio, we opened the door for anyone to host collaborative, multi-party video and broadcast it to their Facebook Live followers.
Our second new product release of the year, BlueJeans Rooms easily transforms any meeting room into a fully functional, video-enabled hub.
10. Usage Continues to Increase Across the Platform
In 2016, our customers used 1.5 billion minutes in an eye-popping popping 8.4 million meetings, saved 36.6 billion miles of travel, preventing 14.8 billion pounds (6.7 million metric tons) of CO2 emissions. That makes us very happy.
As we look back on the incredible year we shared with our customers, partners, and colleagues, we can’t help but be even more excited for what 2017 will bring!
